When the sticker is removed from the backing, it is surrounded by a transparent laminate. The sticker is 2 3/4 in. wide and almost 4 in. high. This plant is a part of a story the Bitterroot Salish (most Eastern Salish band) endure. The plant was sent by the Sun, to an old woman. The woman’s sorrow was a part of the story. This plant came to the people when they were starving. The bitterroot plant saved the Salish people’s lives. It is an original design by Salisha Old Bull and the beadwork has been integrated into a few key pieces of artwork representing the Bitterroot Salish culture.
